January 17, 2016 // Youtube

WOWOWOWOWOWOW I just realized that it's been a month since I have posted on here.

Here is my excuse (it's a legit one too)!
My dog chewed my laptop charger so I was laptopless for about 3 weeks!

Believe it or not but it's really my excuse for being inactive.

Either way....

I realized before the year 2015 left us behind that I should really start making promises to myself that I really want to go through because of the following two reasons:

1. I don't like when people make promises to me that they will follow through, or they promise me something because they feel obligated too! soooo if you come up with the "oh i promise..." or "we should do this soon i promise."
HONESTLY DON'T EVEN BRING THE POINT UP!!! it's one of those irritating things I have discovered in the past year.

2. I really want to push myself. It's one of the goals I always have for myself, to push myself into doing things i'm afraid to do because of my "care" on what other people think.

Therefore keeping these two points in my thoughts of creating promises for myself.... I decided to attempt youtube for the 4th time.

Of course I put my old videos to private since they are to me hilarious but I always like to start with a clean canvas.

FYI here is my "first" youtube video if you are really curious & like to lurk.

As for my other promises... I would really like to keep those just in my mind where I only know what I got to accomplish so I don't irritate myself.
Obviously i'm going to try my best to keep posting on here for future reference aka when i'm a old fart & sharing my shenanigans of young age with a possible significant other, children, neighbor, or even dog.

December 16, 2015 // Fear

What are your fears?

Do you fear the idea of riding on a roller coaster?

Do you fear the tiniest bug crawling on you during your sleep?

Do you fear commitment?

Do you fear the idea of loving someone?

We have fears to challenge us, it's an objective that awaits for the day you will build the courage to 'demolish' it.

My question is why do people stride away from their fears?

Aren't you curious to see what you will discover from the fear you have been putting to the side for so long?

Honestly from experience, fears have made me develop as a person, self-discovering moments.

I have discovered what makes my heart ache, my stomach turn into a turn moil, my grin turn a little wider than usual etc etc.

Why are you stopping yourself from learning about yourself then?

Stop being oblivious to your self!

“And you? When will you begin that long journey into yourself?”

December 5, 2015 // Mind

"Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery. None but ourselves can free our minds." - Bob Marley

Sometimes thoughts, questions, doubts that arise in your mind become much more significant in your everyday life.

This significance can last for one day or even various days.

The question is how do you manage to keep sane?

How do you stop it from becoming too overbearing that it interferes with your everyday tasks?

I still need to find an answer to this question since honestly it is hard to stop yourself from thinking too much sometimes. However you can't stop it and people need to face the fact that analyzing everything is just part of carrying "personhood" characteristics. It defines us as human beings and having self awareness. Therefore denial is not going to resolve the fact you pace yourself thinking over and over again so stop.

Stop.

Just remember no one will really help you from 'freeing' yourself. It all depends on you. Be your own savior.

November 4, 2015 // Foc(U)s

What do you get from forcing your views on others?

Do you like to have reassurance that your view is 'common' or do you like the fact of wanting to convert individuals in to another life form of you?

Yes it's great people are able to state their opinions on anything especially on social media platforms. However when it goes to micro judgements in stating your opinion such as "so as for those 16 year olds now a days" or "i didn't start doing that until I was 20 but now 10 year olds...".
Hello you are basically judging a certain individual for trying something you were possibly afraid of doing because you didn't want to be judged at that time?? Therefore aren't you doing the same thing your "oppressor" (any kind) was doing to you at the time you began peeking the same interest???

Why do you want to continue the cycle of oppressing an individual? Wouldn't you want to encourage the oppressed to not be afraid to try things they favor but are scared to because of judgement?

Of course everyone is biased on their judgement because of the environment they grew up in. Nothing wrong with that, it's how your mentality developed and in most cases it will always be there even if you are indifferent on it. It's will always be that little knot in the back of people's heads.

Therefore comments like "well I didn't get a tattoo until 18 so why did you get one if your 16?" or "omg you party a lot for 16 year old?! when i was 16 I was watching youtube videos."

Don't belittle someone. DON'T.

November 2, 2015 // 'Gooey playlist'

Currently wind, rain, & sunshine are engulfing San Francisco.
(Sorry Karl the Fog maybe your day to outshine these weather conditions will be tomorrow.)

ANYWAYS...the current state of weather makes me personally happy and mushy in the inside so I decided why not compose a playlist that I can use for future reference or just to share.

November 2, 2015 // Karla ♥'s Tavi

Have you ever met someone in person that you have admired or "stalked" through social media?

You either are shocked on how different they are in person or just in shock on how they are the person they display themselves on these various social media platforms.

Well just this past week (Friday to be exact) I met Tavi Gevinson! (SHE WAS HONESTLY THE CUTEST LITTLE SPECK EVER & SUCH A SWEET HEART EXACTLY HOW SHE 'PRESENTS' HERSELF ON S.M)

Tavi is the founder of Rookie Mag and just a huge blog inspo. Rookie Mag contains categories of DIY's, Diary entries, Music, Sex & Love, Style, DIY'S, etc.

My favorite segment within the site is "Ask A Grown Man", where famous 'Male' personas seen on the media platforms answer questions individuals send. Honestly I love how it shows some of these glamorized stars personalities that isn't usually seen through surfaced interviews. Also their intake on 'teen' problems or other life problems is very interesting.
Some of my favorite "Ask A Grown Man" clips:
                     Terry Crews
                     Jimmy Fallon
                     B.J. Novak

Honestly you should check out Rookie to see how awesome it is! I remember someone asking Tavi at the book signing how someone could understand the Rookie community. All she kept repeating was "reading Rookie articles, that's all you have to do to understand, reading." The Rookie community is very genuine on various 'life' topics people face. Topics that you can find relatable or discover for yourself that you too face that issue.

Tavi at the signing directed the idea of 'speech insecurity'. In a instinct I rose my head & had my attention all on her. I honestly thought not many people were insecure about their speech?? It was something I thought I only had an issue with. Not that I let my speech stop me from meeting people or anything, it is always that little knot in the back of my head bothering me every time I speak to someone. The only issue I have with my speech is pronunciation of certain words. I am bilingual so sometimes my spanish 'accent' is very visible when it comes to certain words in english. Sometimes I find it quite embarrassing to even talk??? I just stop my sentence half way or don't even finish my thought because I become embarrassed.

It honestly does suck that embarrassment is my first emotion towards it :( I love that I am a Chicana & the Mexican culture in general so it's just all very confusing & sucky to even think that way blahhhh.

Either way.. I guess that's one example of how Rookie is awesome because I am a part of a community that directs issues without romanticizing them.

SO CHECK OUT ROOKIE!
                                                                        Much love,

October 26, 2015 // Questions

Have you ever realized how many questions you ask in a conversation? I just recently have.

There isn't anything bad with asking questions, it's a way of initiating/continuing conversation but I find it quite funny how individuals don't do so?

When you are getting to know someone, you want to ask questions to see a persons dislikes? likes? etc sooooo for someone not to want to ask a certain person questions to get to know them???????????

I honestly don't know where I was going with this post. It's more of a rant rather than an informative one.

Blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Plus i'm in a very annoyed mood for no reason at all pfftfffttftftfttftftfft
